Wix introduced Wix Harmony, an AI-powered service that allows you to generate websites based on text descriptions. The entire process takes just minutes. After generating a basic design, you can use the Aria AI assistant for fine-tuning. This tool allows you to make adjustments on the fly without re-rendering or restarting the process. Aria understands the full context of a website, so users can make adjustments simply by describing their preferences. Aria also supports optimization tasks and proactively identifies potential issues. In addition to using text queries, you can edit your website using a familiar drag-and-drop interface. The world's first AI service for creating websites based on text descriptions has been launched.


2025. Opera unveiled Neon - AI browser that can build websites



Opera has unveiled a new browser called Opera Neon, focused on automating tasks using AI. Opera Neon features three tools: Chat, a chat feature that lets you search for information online, ask questions, and learn details about the pages you're viewing. Do, a tool based on the previously announced Browser Operator AI agent, can fill out forms, book tickets, and perform other actions locally in the browser. Make, one of the most interesting features, allows you to create websites based on text queries. Tasks are executed in a virtual machine in the cloud, so Neon can operate autonomously even offline and run multiple processes simultaneously.


2025. Figma released AI-based website builder



Figma has unveiled AI-powered site and web app creation tool called Figma Sites, designed for marketers to create assets in bulk. With this launch, the company is taking on website and prototype creators such as WordPress, Wix, Hostinger and Replit. The new tool allows to create websites using text prompts and even publish them. Once the site is generated, collaborators can easily change elements of the site through an editor without prompting. Users can also add transitions, animations and scroll effects to make site responsive. Figma is also adding the ability to directly generate blog posts from its site. That means the Sites will have a content management system (CMS), which is an upcoming feature, baked in that lets users edit posts within the design of a blog and also manage other assets such as thumbnails and slugs.

2025. WordPress.com launched free AI-powered website builder



Hosting platform WordPress.com launched a new free AI website builder that allows anyone to create a functioning website. It's targeted at entrepreneurs, freelancers, bloggers and can't be used to create more advanced websites like e-commerce stores. To use the new tool, users engage with an AI chatbot in a conversational style to design the website with their own text and images and to configure the site’s layout. To get started, users first type in a prompt that explains their website idea — like “build a website for my coffee shop.” The new service may help WordPress better compete with companies like Squarespace and Wix, which offer AI builders to speed up site creation and design.


2024. Site.pro now allows you to send website forms to Telegram.



Lithuanian website and online store builder Site.pro has implemented an integration that allows you to send completed forms and questionnaires from website directly to Telegram chat. Email with a link to the website admin panel is typically used for this purpose, but if you need a quick response to a request, this isn't a good option. Setting up form sending to Telegram is very simple. First, you need to obtain a Telegram Bot API token and Telegram Chat ID from your Telegram account. Then, create a new form in the Site.pro builder, click the "Submit form to" property, and select "Telegram."


2022. Site.pro adds new tools: adaptive pricing and discounts



Lithuanian website and online store builder Site.pro has added the ability to set different prices for the same product based on attributes (size, color, shape, etc.). The app will send you real-time notifications for everything that happens on your online store, booking system, hotel and whenever visitors use your contact form.


2014. Zoho Sites website builder is now completely free



Zoho Sites is a service that allows you to create a business website in a visual editor, without any knowledge of HTML. Typically, all such services have a free version, but it either doesn't allow you to host the site on your own domain, or inserts your own advertising line, or severely limits disk space. Zoho Sites had a similar version. But then Zoho decided to make the service completely free with no restrictions (fully unlimited). The only way they will make money is by selling additional modules, which are mainly designed for security and online stores. Zoho representative said that they (traditionally) don't spend money on advertising and PR, and such a free service will attract many customers not only to the website builder but also to other Zoho services.
