2026. Tilda has implemented autoscaling of basic blocks



Tilda, a free website creation service, has implemented autoscaling for its basic blocks. This setting expands a block with a 12-column grid to the full screen width and works on screens with a resolution greater than 1200px. This is useful, for example, when combining a layout using basic blocks and Zero Block. This setting is available for blocks in the following categories: About the Project, Header, Text Block, Image, Gallery, Tile and Link, Form, Buttons, and Benefits. The ME100 block now allows you to create menus with up to four nesting levels. This is useful, for example, for online stores with a large number of products and catalog sections.


2025. Joomla 6.0 CMS has improved performance and security



A new version of the open-source content management system Joomla 6.0 has been released. It adds numerous new features, security and code improvements which also helped to enhance its performance. Secure update system via TUF has been introduced and the new Behaviour – Backward Compatibility 6 plugin for Joomla 5.4 ensures a smoother upgrade to Joomla 6. The standard Joomla Cassiopeia template now includes options for customizing colors and fonts without the need to create custom CSS files. The versioning system has been expanded to include custom field data. Besides, new custom field types have been added: Notes and Numbers. Also you can now bulk edit tags for materials.


2021. WordPress 5.8 Expands Site Health Interface



The new version of the popular free CMS WordPress 5.8 allows web developers to extend the Site Health administrative interface. Developers will now be able to include their own tabs to help website administrators navigate the Site Health portal more easily. When installing new plugins, Site Health will check whether the add-on requires a PHP version incompatible with the rest of the site. If so, WordPress will prevent web administrators from installing it. PHP, the primary programming language used for websites built on WordPress, has become an attractive target for malicious hackers in recent years. Therefore, the ability to identify older, potentially insecure versions of PHP is an important tool needed to protect against attacks. In addition to site health improvements, WordPress 5.8 also includes several new block editor features, support for the WebP image format, an "Update URI" header for plugin developers, and various REST API changes.
