2015. Worksection unveiled mobile app



Worksection, a popular collaboration and project management service, has released free mobile apps for iOS and Android. Now users can access their projects, tasks, files, notes, and contacts (colleagues) from their smartphones or tablets. Users can create new tasks, add comments, upload files, receive push notifications, and track their time using the time tracker. The app conveniently tracks the latest project changes using the activity feed. Key features can be used offline: project, task, and bookmark lists, people and contact lists, a notepad, and recent events.


2014. Basecamp app is available for iPad



Popular project management service Basecamp has released the official app for iPad (before it offered only iPhone and Web versions for iPad users). The app allows to check in on your projects from anywhere, shows you the latest news on each project, jump in on a discussion and post your thoughts, view progress as team members complete to-dos and upload files. Everything from your projects is available, so you can refer to a document or make a decision no matter where you are. The app is quick and responsive, its interface is clean and well organized.


2014. Asana released an app for iPhone and iPad



Online collaboration service Asana has released an app for the iOS mobile platform, which runs on both iPhones and iPads. The app lets you manage tasks, projects, and your calendar, search, and create notes. All changes are synced with your online account in real time. The developers promise a similar app for Android will soon be available.


2014. Producteev Adds iPad Apps and Outlook Integration



It's fair to say that Producteev, the task collaboration service, hasn't seen much updating since its acquisition of Jive. But they've finally unveiled something new. First, a paid version has re-emerged (as you may recall, Producteev became free immediately after the Jive acquisition). For $99/month, customers are offered premium support, branding options, and a plugin for integration with MS Outlook. This plugin effectively doubles as a desktop client for Producteev on PC and Mac. Tasks and projects are synced between Outlook, your online account, and Producteev's mobile apps. You can also create tasks directly in Outlook the familiar way—as a single line with hashtags. You can add tasks directly to your Outlook calendar, and they'll appear in Producteev. Another new feature is an optimized task management app for iPad.

Project management service Zoho Projects is very popular due to its low price and wide functionality. Now it has full-fledged mobile clients for iPhone and Android. So now you can continue working from a mountaintop or a yacht (like in this video). The Zoho Projects mobile app delivers notifications about the latest project team activities, allows you to work with tasks and documents, communicate with colleagues in comments, and track time using the time tracker. You can also take a photo directly from the app and send it to a project – in many cases, this can replace typing on a small smartphone keyboard.
