2025. SAP acquired AI-recruiting software SmartRecruiters

SAP has acquired recruiting management software developer SmartRecruiters. In its press release, SAP says that SmartRecruiters' "powerful, easy-to-use interfaces and workflow engine" will complement SAP's existing HR tools (apparently referring to the SAP SuccessFactors). The system is also known for its AI assistant called Winston, which automates most routine tasks and generates useful analytics. With the acquisition, "SAP customers will be able to manage the entire candidate lifecycle - from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding and training - all in a single system, making things easier for recruiters. SmartRecruiters was founded in 2010 and has raised $225M in funding over 15 years.
2025. LinkedIn Adds Free AI Recruiting Tools

LinkedIn has introduced a free version of its AI recruiting toolset designed for small businesses. Hiring Assistant helps find qualified candidates and filter applications. Recruiters can upload job descriptions, and the tool will automatically search for and compile a list of suitable candidates. It also provides feedback on candidates throughout the hiring process. You don't need to be a paid LinkedIn user to use the basic version of the AI tool. LinkedIn has also developed an AI tool for job seekers. Called Jobs Match, it advises users whether applying for a particular position is worth their time. Both products are built by LinkedIn using its own AI platform and data, although other job posting and resume sources may be integrated over time.
2017. Google launched recruiting service Hire
Google launched a new service that helps businesses more effectively manage their internal recruiting process - Google Hire. Like other alternatives, it offers businesses a cohesive applicant tracking service that’s deeply integrated with G Suite to make it easier for businesses to communicate with their candidates and track their progress through the interview process. Earlier this year, Google launches its Google for Jobs initiative and its job search feature in Google Search to help job seekers find the right job for them. Now it’s launching this new tool to help businesses manage their candidates. The missing piece here is giving businesses tools for managing job posting — and maybe posting them directly to Google’s new jobs widget in Search. As the company pointed out when it launched its AI-powered job search engine, though, it has no interest in doing this and is instead partnering with major online job boards.
2016. Abbyy's AI helps to process thousands of resumes

There's no single standard for resume, so HR specialists at large companies have to sift through thousands of resumes and manually enter applicant data into the corporate system. Evola and Abbyy have created a solution (for SAP HCM) that automates this process. It's built on ABBYY Compreno technology, which uses artificial intelligence to extract meaning from natural language text. The system extracts key parameters from any-format resume (personal information, contacts, desired position and salary expectations, work experience, education, language skills, software, personality traits, hobbies, and recommendations) and saves them in a convenient format for future retrieval.
2014. AmazingHiring - talent search service

Your business's success depends 90% on the talent of the people who work there, so hiring the right employees is crucial. It would seem that in the age of the internet and social media, this task should be incredibly simple. After all, there are tons of resume sites, and each candidate has a ton of social media profiles from which you can learn everything about them. However, analyzing all this information would require a significant amount of time. AmazingHiring will significantly simplify this process and save you time. You enter the characteristics of the specialist you need, and the service collects information from job search sites, social networks, and communities, combines all the information about each person into a single profile, and, using a complex algorithm, determines their qualifications. However, for now, the service is primarily focused on finding IT specialists and large companies (costs start at $500/month).
2014. Jibe wants to make recruiting mobile

Jibe, a company that develops SaaS recruiting software, today received $20 million from SAP Ventures for its product development. Why did SAP choose this solution? Jibe's distinctive feature is its focus on mobile technologies. The idea is that attracting good employees is no less important than attracting customers. While CRM and marketing systems are already widely using mobile channels and devices, HRM systems and recruiting software are not. Jibe offers a mobile app that makes the resume submission process convenient for job candidates. For example, you can upload your resume from Google Docs, LinkedIn, email, or Dropbox. The job listing is also presented in a convenient format, making it easy for candidates to view it on the go (for example, at home or on a business trip).
2009. Talent search 2.0 : Zoho Recruit + LinkedIn API

The opportunity to engage world's best talents (regardless of their geographic location) in business - is the primary mission of SaaS and Cloud Computing technologies. That's why the release of Zoho Recruit and LinkedIn open platform is quite important. Zoho Recruit - is a new online service for recruitment agencies and HR-departments that automates their recruiting processes. It helps to track job openings, resumes (candidates), contacts, search for candidates, puplish jobs openings on the site, send invitations, schedule interviews and log the communication with candidates. But perhaps the main Zoho Recruit feature is the parser that can extract resumes from email, folders on your computer, job search portals, social networks, search results in Google, and than parse the basic data and put it into the database. By the way, Zoho developers decided not to create this functionality from scratch, but to integrate the world-best solution - Resume Grabber. ***
