2023. NovaPay payment system comes to Moldova



Nova Poshta's NovaPay payment system has entered the Moldovan market. According to the press service, Moldova is NovaPay's first market outside of Ukraine. NovaPay provides Moldovan businesses and private clients with financial services previously unavailable on the market. Specifically, NovaPay became the first financial service in Moldova to introduce cash on delivery. Previously, customers in Moldova were required to pay in advance when purchasing goods online. Now, NovaPay makes it possible to receive and inspect the goods before paying. NovaPay will also handle the delivery of funds to the seller. The service is available commission-free at 19 Nova Poshta branches in Chisinau, Comrat, Bolti, Cahul, Edinet, and in any locality, with courier delivery.


2020. Rupay allows to top up e-wallet using bank card



From now you can top up Runpay wallet using VISA, MasterCard or MIR cards issued by banks worldwide that support the 3D-Secure security system. Runpay already services over 150,000 e-wallets in Moldova, demonstrating the company's strong reputation and the trust its customers place in its services. The company is licensed by the National Bank of Moldova and adheres to strict regulatory standards. The Runpay wallet allows customers to make payments for a variety of goods and services, including purchasing vouchers for games and apps, electronic money transactions, paying utility bills, and much more. 2016. WebMoney launches MDL wallets in Moldovan lei



WebMoney Transfer, in partnership with RunPay Moldova, launched MDL wallets in Moldovan lei. RunPay Moldova has become the official issuer and operator of electronic money in Moldova. MDL wallets can be topped up at any RunPay Moldova terminal or by exchanging WMZ in WebMoney Keeper. Available withdrawal methods include: Moldova Agroindbank account (1% commission), commission-free through the RunPay Moldova terminal network, and cash at a RunPay Moldova office. Identification is also available at the relevant office. Online stores that accept WebMoney will be able to cash out Moldovan lei with automatic conversion.

2015. PayPal opened business accounts in Moldova.



Moldovan citizens can now open PayPal business accounts and use the service for online payment processing and electronic money transfers. However, the Moldovan leu will not yet be included in the system as a transaction currency. Damien Perillat, PayPal's Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe, noted the positive dynamics of online sales in the region, which, according to him, opens new opportunities for the development of this market. He noted that the main advantage is that now any citizen living in Moldova who wants to sell is independent of banks and banking payment systems, is exempt from commission fees, and can install the PayPal system, which is used by millions of people worldwide.
