2025. NOOM updated its Reports and Finance modules

Estonian enterprise management system NOOM has introduced updates to the Reports, Documents, Finance, Retail, Products, POS, Payment Terminal and Payroll modules. Reports can now include a click-to-link feature. In the Inventory Management section, you can now open a linked document in a table view. In the financial data entry window, when sorting by a text column, uppercase and lowercase letters are now treated as equivalent. In the Retail section, when canceling a document, the discount_id field in the new document was previously not populated. Now it is populated correctly. In the Products section, you can now enable a group tree. Users can now use the new feature of hiding columns and saving column settings.
2016. Another use for VR glasses in business: 3D analytics
Microsoft Hololense virtual reality glasses finally went on sale today for (just) $3,000. And Microsoft partner 8Ninths has implemented a pilot project at Citi Bank to build a financial analyst's workstation using these very glasses. The idea is that financial analysts, stock brokers, and executives of large companies must process large volumes of information to make decisions, and regular flat charts and diagrams on a computer screen don't always visualize the situation well. A 3D picture located right on your desktop, which you can view from different angles and control with your own hands, can be much more visual.
2007. RBC Financial Group implements Teradata
Teradata Corporation announced that RBC Financial Group, a North American financial services company, has begun implementing Teradata's customer relationship management (CRM) system for event-based marketing (EBM). This implementation follows a pilot project conducted at RBC earlier this year. Event-based marketing systems contain sets of rules and triggers for interpreting customer actions and transactions. Teradata's event-based marketing systems extend the concept of intelligent business to multi-stage customer interactions across various sales and service delivery channels, including online stores, ATMs, and call centers.
