2024. Marketing service SmartSender rebranded to Wooxy



Estonian service SmartSender has outgrown its original purpose of email marketing tool and has become a full-fledged omnichannel marketing service, so it has decided to rebrand. Its new name is Wooxy. Its goal is to make omnichannel marketing accessible to a wider range of companies through automation. Thanks to significant investments in UI/UX, usability and pre-configured automated scenarios, Wooxy will take over tasks that previously required significant time and effort from humans. The developers plan to add more integrated communication, advertising, and marketing channels to the platform. This will significantly simplify the launch of multi-platform campaigns for clients.

2022. Estonian VoIP provider Apifonica acquired German cloud provider



Estonian IT company SmartTel Plus, operating in Europe under the brand Apifonica, acquired TENIOS, a leading cloud service provider in Germany. TENIOS offers intelligent voice dialogue systems via the Voice API, IN routing, AI-powered text-to-speech (TTS) and speech recognition (ASR), as well as voice bot integration from a single source. The deal is part of Apifonica's expansion in Western Europe and the German market in particular. 2020. XROOM.APP - P2P video conferencing for white-label solutions



The new Estonian video conferencing service XROOM.APP has a number of distinctive features in the currently crowded video conferencing market. Firstly, it is based on peer-to-peer technology, meaning user videos do not reach servers and are completely anonymous. It also features a whiteboard, pair programming tools, screen sharing, and audio and video recording. The service is free, with no time limit or number of video call participants (though the optimal connection is up to 20 people). Secondly, XROOM.APP can be used for white-label solutions by large corporations or IT providers. The white-label option costs $15 per month for the ability to create a branded private video room and support up to a thousand webinar participants.


2015. Pipedrive CRM Raises $9 Million



Pipedrive, an Estonian company offering a cloud-based sales management system for small businesses, has raised a $9 million Series A round. The round was led by American venture capital firm Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Paua Ventures, Rembrandt Venture Partners, and AngelPad. Pipedrive was founded in 2010. The service offers a CRM for small businesses with sales funnel visualization. It currently has over 10,000 paying customers (small businesses). Pipedrive employs 77 people in the US and Estonia. The proceeds from the round will be used to attract employees for further development of the system and its customer base.


2014. Video conferencing service iMind has updated its interface and engine



New version of the Estonian video conferencing system iMind 2.19 has been released. The main changes are aimed at increasing the scalability, reliability, and fault-tolerance of the product, as well as simplifying the user interface. To improve user experience, the developers have significantly simplified the interface and redesigned the main event window. Specifically, unnecessary unused areas have been removed from the speaker channel to increase space for document viewing, and an "About the Event" tab has been added, which the user is directed to by default if the event has not yet started. At the same time, the product has retained its entire business logic, which means users will not require any additional effort or time to adapt to the changes. As a reminder, iMind can be used as a cloud or server solution on existing equipment.


2013. Estonian cloud-based retail software Erply raised $2M



Erply, which develops mobile and cloud-based sales and inventory management software for retailers, has raised $2.15 million in Series B funding. Erply's system has recently gained traction and is currently used in 115,000 stores, competing with solutions from Microsoft, Oracle and RetailPro. Erply is also developing an iPad-based POS terminal that uses RFID, NFC and Bluetooth and enables inventory management. CEO Christian Hiemaa says Erply will focus on large enterprise sales going forward, targeting Fortune 500 companies with more than 200 locations to attract them to its platform.
