2017. SAP and Georgian Railways have completed the SAP S/4HANA implementation project



SAP and Georgian Railways announced the completion of the first SAP S/4HANA implementation project in the railway industry in the post-Soviet space. The new system will enable the company to quickly make strategic decisions and flexibly manage organizational processes. Currently, the system has 500 users. To create a unified system, the company implemented a suite of solutions based on SAP S/4HANA, a new generation of in-memory ERP systems. Automation covered a wide range of core and support business processes: management accounting, repair and technical support processes, and personnel management were optimized. Special emphasis was placed on budgeting, planning, and consolidation solutions.


2015. SAP to open office in Georgia



Georgian Economy Minister Dimitri Kumsishvili met with SAP representatives at the World Economic Forum and agreed to open a company office in Tbilisi. "Opening an SAP representative office in Georgia will be beneficial to both parties," Kumsishvili said, implying that the deal will significantly improve the business environment in Georgia. Ukrainian company Soft-Rating Consult acted as a partner and consultant to the Georgian holding company Tegeta Motors in its first SAP ERP implementation project for a commercial company in Georgia. 2007. Georgian Armed Forces have implemented the SAP resource management system

Specialists from the Ukrainian Research Institute of Automated Computer Systems "Ecotech" (RIAS "Ecotech"), together with specialists from the project's lead contractor, the Georgian company "UGT," with the participation of SAP Ukraine, have completed the conceptual design phase for the implementation of the integrated SAP ERP enterprise resource planning system in the Georgian Armed Forces. According to Georgian Defense Minister David Kezerashvili, the project envisions the complete computerization of the management system, automation of logistics, financial processes, and human resources management. The prototype system being developed in the first phase covers all key logistics processes. The Ministry of Defense (MoD) has decided to use the application integration platform of the German company SAP AG, which has been adopted as the standard for the development of automated management systems for the military departments of NATO member countries.
