2023. Armenia wants to attract PayPal to the country



Armenia is working to bring PayPal to the country, Deputy Economy Minister Narek Teryan said on Monday. "We are in talks with our US colleagues; this issue was raised during bilateral negotiations just last week. Armenia is a relatively small market for PayPal, and this is the reason for the delay," he said. PayPal is the largest electronic payment system, allowing customers to pay bills and purchases, as well as send and receive money transfers. Currently, the service only works for payments and money transfers in Armenia; negotiations for full integration of PayPal (with the ability to accept transfers and payments in online stores) have been ongoing for several years.

2023. easywallet app allows to open a free bank account in Armenia



On July 1st, a new law was passed that applied to all online wallets, including easywallet. According to the law, to use the wallet, you must undergo passport or ID card verification and link a bank card to the wallet. You must link your own bank card, otherwise the link will be canceled. Therefore, easywallet allows you and other users to open a bank account directly in easywallet and use it. Now you can open free Armeconombank and Evocabank accounts in easywallet. There is no need to visit a bank branch or provide documents. You can withdraw the amount transferred to your account at the bank. The list of banks will be expanded.


2011. Telcell and WebMoney announced the launch of a joint service

Telcell payment system and WebMoney announced the launch of a joint service. Telcell payment terminal users can now instantly top up their WMZ wallets. Telcell terminals also now offer WebMoney Check, which allows online purchases with WebMoney without having to be a WebMoney user. To use the service, simply have a mobile phone.
