2026. Slack gives more skills to its AI agent

Salesforce has unveiled a major update to Slack, adding over 30 new features. A key focus was on the development of Slackbot, which has gained significantly broader capabilities as an AI agent. Users can now define specific action scenarios for Slackbot that can be used in various work situations. In addition to the built-in skills library, users can create their own skills. For example, with the command "create a budget," Slackbot can collect data from work chats, integrated services, and internal sources, generate an action plan, and even automatically schedule meetings with relevant employees. Other new features include automatic meeting transcription and the creation of meeting summaries with task definitions for participants.
2023. Microsoft Adds Bing Chatbot to Skype

Microsoft has added the Bing chatbot (which runs on the same model as ChatGPT) to its ever-live messenger Skype. The chatbot can be added to any group and asked to answer questions during a discussion or search for information online. For example, when scheduling a meeting, you can check the weather or find out what interesting events are happening that day. Or ask Bing to provide arguments from the internet. The Bing chatbot is now available in the Bing mobile search app and through the Microsoft Edge browser for Android and iOS. Microsoft has also added voice input to the chatbot—you can send voice queries in both the mobile and desktop versions. In the future, Microsoft plans to integrate the chatbot into its other communication services, such as the Teams corporate messenger.
2020. Facebook Messenger now lets to switch between personal and business accounts

Facebook Messenger has added the ability to switch between personal and business accounts. This will allow entrepreneurs to respond to customer messages more quickly, the company explained. Previously, entrepreneurs had to switch to the Page Manager business account management app to respond to customer messages on behalf of the company. The new feature has already appeared in the apps on iOS devices and will be coming to Android in the next few weeks.
2020. Slack now allows calls to Microsoft Teams

People once believed that all messaging apps would merge into a single network, allowing their users to communicate with each other. But messaging providers have always carefully guarded their boundaries. Therefore, it's surprising that Slack (perhaps riding the wave of global unity against the coronavirus) added the ability to make audio calls to its rival system, Microsoft Teams. During a call, you can see the names of Teams participants. Slack users also now have the ability to use IP telephony services such as Zoom, Cisco Jabber, RingCentral, and Dialpad to call mobile numbers from the app.
2019. Chaport implemented integration with Viber

Chaport, a service that provides an online consultant for communicating with clients on the website, has released an integration with Viber. This update allows you to answer client questions received via Viber directly from Chaport. To enable the Viber integration, go to Settings → Integrations in your Chaport account and connect Chaport to the Viber bot.
