Microsoft has unveiled Scout, its personal AI assistant designed to utilize user's full work context. It's built on the open-source OpenClaw framework, which started the wave of such personal agents. To use Scout, you'll need a subscription to GitHub Copilot - that's where it'll consume tokens. Scout works with files on your computer, websites in your web browser, and cloud applications via API or MCP. It can be connected to email inboxes, calendars, and other services, and it has preconfigured skills for managing your schedule. The assistant learns from user behavior and becomes more competent over time. Unlike OpenClaw (according to Microsoft), Scout has built-in security policies designed to address the issue of uncontrolled agent operation and personal data leaks.

Elon Musk's xAI has launched its own AI coding agent, Grok Build, which will compete with Claude Code and OpenAI Codex. Currently, it is only available to subscribers of the most expensive SuperGrok Heavy plan ($300 per month). The agent can handle complex tasks that require planning and sequential execution of stages and parallel operation of sub-agents, and supports existing AGENTS.md files, plugins, hooks, skills, and MCP servers. xAI recently partnered with the developers of the most popular AI IDE, Cursor, and there were even rumors of an upcoming acquisition of the company. Therefore, Grok will likely soon become the primary agent in Cursor.

OpenAI has rolled out new image generation model Images 2.0, the main feature of which is the ability to correctly draw text on images. Visual models draw the text as a picture, so they often make up words or write some nonsense. Images 2.0 generates text that looks natural and error-free. In addition, Images 2.0 is the first image generation model in ChatGPT with so-called thinking functions. She can search for relevant information on the Internet; create several image variants for one request; check your results. This allows you to work with complex tasks, for example, creating series of comics, marketing campaigns or educational materials.

French company Mistral AI has introduced Forge - enterprise platform for creating and training custom LLM models based on internal data (corporate documents, intranet, codebases and regulatory requirements). The platform supports full training cycle: from pre-training on internal datasets to post-training and fine-tuning and allows to adapt models to internal standards and business goals. This approach should improve the accuracy of corporate AI agents and their ability to perform complex tasks within specific workflows. According to company representatives, Forge effectively transfers training methods used internally by Mistral to develop its flagship models. The developers cite data control as a key advantage of the solution.

A year ago, Apple began using OpenAI's LLM as Siri's brain (ostensibly as a temporary solution while Apple continued working on its own model). However, Apple is a company of perfectionists and apparently they can't create a high-quality LLM of their own. Meanwhile, over the past year, Gemini has outperformed ChatGPT in various benchmarks and rankings (and apparently offered more money). Therefore, the company made an important decision: Google's Gemini models will form the basis for future Apple Intelligence, including the long-awaited AI update for Siri, scheduled for launch this year.
