2024. Paysera enters the POS market
Fintech company Paysera has acquired Lithuanian startup MB Brand Lions, which produces POS cash registers for restaurants and retail, as well as a virtual POS terminal service virtualikasa.lt. "Until now, in the Baltics, we have primarily focused on processing e-commerce payments. However, this deal opens up new opportunities for us in the retail sector, including the HoReCa, various stores and service points. Essentially, it gives us access to any business that currently requires cash registers or where such a need will arise under the new regulations, as businesses fully transition to i.EKA-type point-of-sale solutions," said Marius Plančiūnas, CEO of Paysera.
