News about Ahrefs
15.01.26. Ahrefs now lets you monitor your brands on Reddit and TikTok

SEO service Ahrefs has updated its Brand Radar tool, which allows you to monitor mentions of your products or brand in the social web. It now includes TikTok, so you can see where your brand appears in high-traffic videos. The service scans descriptions and transcripts of videos and displays only those fragments where the brand is actually mentioned, without unnecessary noise. The developers have also added a new Reddit search results index, which shows how visible your brand is in Reddit search results on Google. It works similarly to the visibility index in AI chats, but instead of scanning AI responses, the service scans Reddit titles, descriptions, and subreddit names that appear in search results snippets. This helps understand how Reddit influences discovery and decision-making in search results.
2025. Ahrefs Adds Custom Queries to GEO Monitoring

Now in Ahrefs, you can track brand mentions in AI chats using a list of your own queries (previously, only general market queries were available). Custom queries are currently supported for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot. You can set up the tracking frequency: daily, weekly, or monthly, with different frequencies for each chatbot. Custom queries use validations based on query, AI chat and location. You can view both data sets (custom and market) in a single report or switch between them using the new "Data Set" filter, depending on whether you need visibility at the market or buyer level. Validations can be included in a paid package or paid separately as you go.
2025. Ahrefs implemented site history import from Google Analytics

SEO service Ahrefs has added historical Google Analytics data import, so its users could analyze trends without losing historical context. To do this, link your Google account to an Ahrefs project, and Ahrefs will import historical Google Analytics data for the period before you launched web analytics tracking. This data will immediately appear in your reports. The Site Explorer section has also been updated. The intent history graph in the Overview section now includes organic traffic by intent. This means you can see not only keyword positions but also whether these intents actually lead to visits. The Search Results Overview report also features a new "Page Type" column. Using AI, the service classifies which types of content rank highly in Google search.
2024. Ahrefs launches AI Content Helper

The new AI Content Helper tool in the Ahrefs SEO service allows you to intelligently select keywords and optimize your content based on competitor data. Simply enter the keyword you want to rank for, then select suggested search queries for which to optimize your content or choose competitors from a list. Content Helper uses AI to identify keywords for your target keywords, helps you compare your content with your competitors' content on these topics as you write, and provides recommendations and ideas for titles, meta descriptions, and subheadings, as well as internal linking to increase your page's authority.
