2018. Adobe acquires Marketo for $4.75 billion



Adobe it to acquire marketing automation company Marketo for $4.75 billion. The deal gives Adobe a strong position in enterprise marketing as it competes with Salesforce, Microsoft, Oracle and SAP. It also gives Adobe a huge boost for its Marketing Cloud offering and provides it with not only a missing piece, but Marketo’s base of 5000 customers and the opportunity to increase revenue in this part of their catalogue, while allowing them to compete harder inside the enterprise.


2013. Adobe launches marketing services for mobile apps



As you know, Adobe provides a variety of tools for creating mobile apps and mobile content. Therefore, it is logical that the company wants to help developers (including corporate ones) optimize the marketing of these mobile apps. To this end, Adobe has launched Mobile Marketing Services in its Adobe Marketing Cloud. By embedding these services in their apps, developers (or rather marketers) will be able, for example, to track the use of mobile app content depending on a specific geographic location (using GPS) or time, identifying which app features are actually used and which are not.
