Mexican airline Mexicana will use Oracle E-Business Suite on-demand. For a fee, Oracle will host the system in its data center, maintain it, and update it. The goal of the ERP implementation was to consolidate disparate information systems and unify business operations in the areas of finance, HR, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing. By leveraging the ERP system's functionality, the company hopes to consolidate and improve financial reporting for a more complete and accurate picture of the current situation, as well as reduce supply costs. According to Oracle, more than 1.7 million users worldwide are connected to Oracle On Demand solutions.
