2025. Business telephony service Telia Smart Connect is available in Lithuania and Estonia



Swedish telecom operator Telia has launched its virtual PBX service Smart Connect in Lithuania and Estonia. The service allows users to receive calls from clients on a computer (via a browser) or smartphone, start conferences and send SMS messages, create call queues on a visual desktop, record calls and set voice notifications according to the work schedule. The application includes a company phone book with availability indicators, call statistics in the form of graphs and reports. The service integrates with Microsoft, Google and other applications, as well as with any system using an API integrator. The Smart Connect interface is available in Estonian, English and Lithuanian languages.


2024. SkyTel Virtual PBX Integrated with Bitrix24



Estonian virtual PBX SkyTel has been integrated with collaboration and business management system Bitrix24. The integration supports one-click calling from the Bitrix24 CRM interface, pop-up client cards for incoming calls, automatic lead and deal creation for calls from new numbers, incoming call assignment to responsible managers based on the calling client, automatic call recording in the CRM with entry into the client card and call analytics for each employee, department, contact, and deal.


2022. Estonian VoIP provider Apifonica acquired German cloud provider



Estonian IT company SmartTel Plus, operating in Europe under the brand Apifonica, acquired TENIOS, a leading cloud service provider in Germany. TENIOS offers intelligent voice dialogue systems via the Voice API, IN routing, AI-powered text-to-speech (TTS) and speech recognition (ASR), as well as voice bot integration from a single source. The deal is part of Apifonica's expansion in Western Europe and the German market in particular. Apifonica offers a fully customizable solution for workforce, sales, and call center automation through programmed speech synthesis, recognition, and analysis.

2020. Katatelecom provides Georgian virtual numbers with PBX

2012. MTT launched YouMagic in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania

MTT, the Russian long-distance and international telecom operator, announced that three Baltic countries—Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia—have joined the YouMagic network. Companies can now connect to a toll-free landline number in the Baltic capitals of Riga, Vilnius, and Tallinn, as well as the Lithuanian cities of Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, and Panevėžys. With YouMagic, calls to landlines throughout Russia cost 99 kopecks per minute, and to landlines in Moscow and St. Petersburg, 69 kopecks per minute.
