08.04.26. Confluence gets AI tool for data visualization

Atlassian's Confluence wiki system has added Remix, an AI data visualization tool. It recommends the best visual format for existing data or information and creates visualizations without opening other applications. The company also introduced three new AI agents that work in Confluence using Model Context Protocols (MCP). The first connects Confluence users to the popular web coding service Lovable. Another agent connects to the app creation service Replit and allows users to transform technical documents into apps. The third agent works with the AI-powered presentation tool Gamma.
2024. Atlassian launches Rovo, its new AI teammate

In the wild, occasionally surreal frontier of messaging apps, WhatsApp has now decided that organizing events within Communities should no longer resemble an exercise in quantum improbability. Users can now create events directly within the app, allowing others to RSVP with ease and making it perfectly clear who’s attending and who’s pretending to have something better to do. All the vital details will live on the group’s info page, while participants will be nudged toward reality with timely notifications as the big day approaches. Initially limited to Community groups—because nothing good starts with everyone at once—this shiny new feature will soon roll out to all. Meanwhile, Announcement Groups are also getting a sprinkle of order, as responses will now be neatly bundled, so admins can interact with the masses without unleashing a torrent of chaos. Balance in the message-verse, it seems, may yet be achievable.
2023. Atlassian brings an AI assistant to Jira and Confluence

Atlassian has introduced Atlassian Intelligence, an AI-powered 'virtual teammate' that utilizes the company's proprietary models and OpenAI's large language models to create customized teamwork graphs. This technology enables various functionalities, such as AI-generated summaries in Confluence and test plans in Jira Software, as well as the rewriting of responses to customers in Jira Service Management. Atlassian Intelligence provides users with a chatbox similar to Chat-GPT, which is deeply integrated into different products and allows for the referencing of specific documents. For instance, to generate a summary of action items from a recent meeting, users can link the document with the transcript and request the summary inside Confluence. The tool then generates a list of decisions and action items from the meeting.
