2018. Microsoft unveiled SharePoint in virtual reality

We recently reported on Microsoft's new applications that use HoloLens virtual/augmented reality headsets for technical support and room planning. There, the user interacted with physical objects. But what if we used virtual reality to work with virtual objects - files, folders, documents? - Microsoft thought. It's a great idea... to draw attention to SharePoint! Don't let people think that SharePoint is any less innovative than Slack and Dropbox. 2008. Microsoft launched online versions of SharePoint and Exchange

Microsoft announced the commercial launch of SaaS versions of SharePoint and Exchange. For now, these services will be available only in the US. Next up is the UK, where SaaS versions of SharePoint and Exchange will be available next spring. Currently, all of these services are available only in English and are available as a $15 package (per user per month). This package also includes OfficeCommunications Online, a unified suite of business communications services, and Office Live Meeting, an online web conferencing system. Under the terms of the new online services, they will be sold not only by Microsoft but also by its partner companies, and in some countries, distribution will be through partners only.
